Artist, Designer & Maker Behind Yonart

For more than 30 years, I’ve worked with mirror, wood, glass, and other materials to create artistic mirrors and decorative pieces for the home.

My background in architecture and graphic design influences my work, but my greatest inspiration is the joy of making things by hand.

I grew up in a home where creativity was part of everyday life.

My parents were always building, painting, sewing, or finding new ways to make our home their own.

Their belief that “there is nothing you can’t do” gave me the confidence to explore, experiment, and create.

After studying in Israel, I moved to New York, where I met my husband, Gary, and built my home.

Decorating our Long Island house inspired me to create artwork and accessories of my own.

Those early pieces became the foundation of Yonart, leading to collaborations with designers and local shops.

Discovering Artistic Mirrors

In 1998, we purchased Artistic Mirrors in Deer Park, initially as a workspace.

The previous owner introduced me to cutting, sandblasting, and painting mirrors techniques

that opened an exciting new direction for my work.

Today, I still love turning an idea into something beautiful and meaningful for someone’s home.
